ickScript.com is a screenplay-consulting firm that was established by Farhan Arshad in 2009. Farhan, a Creative Writing and English major, earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Emory University. He recently completed his Master of Fine Arts degree from Northwestern University’s prestigious Writing for the Screen and Stage graduate program. Farhan has served as a script reader for several production companies and in 2009 was one of five writers to be accepted into the Comedy Central Summer workshop. During the workshop he spent time at The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, and also the development department.
Spell It, his original full-length script placed second in its category at the Skyfest Script and Film Festival in 2008. In 2010, Farhan was awarded a film grant from Northwestern University. With the grant he shot a half-hour pilot entitled Prison Boat, which he co-wrote and directed. Prison Boat is currently one of six films to be nominated by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for a Chicago/Midwest Emmy in the “Student Production” category. It also received an honorable mention from the Los Angeles Reel Film Fest.
